Welcome to Crafts Cymru — a curated online marketplace for handmade, culturally authentic, and artist-led products based in Wales. By joining as a Vendor, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Definitions

2. Role of Crafts Cymru

Crafts Cymru operates as a marketplace facilitator, providing an online platform for vendors to list and sell their products. We do not own or stock the products and are not the seller of record. Vendors are responsible for the products, pricing, descriptions, delivery, customer service, and compliance with law.

3. Vendor Responsibilities

By using Crafts Cymru, you agree to:

4. Vendor Verification

All vendors must undergo a verification process prior to listing products. Crafts Cymru reserves the right to approve or reject applications at its sole discretion.

5. Intellectual Property and Content Use

6. Product Standards

Only products that reflect the spirit and standards of Welsh craftsmanship may be sold. This includes:

Crafts Cymru reserves the right to request proof of authenticity or remove listings that do not meet these standards.

7. Restricted Items

The following items are prohibited:

8. Content Moderation

Crafts Cymru may remove or disable any listings or content that violate this Agreement or that we deem inappropriate or harmful to the platform’s integrity, with or without prior notice.

9. Plans, Fees, and Commission

10. Tax Responsibility

Vendors are solely responsible for determining and reporting any taxes due (e.g., VAT, income tax, or corporation tax) resulting from sales made on the platform. Crafts Cymru does not provide tax advice.

11. Marketing and Promotions

Crafts Cymru may offer vendors marketing features such as social promotion, newsletter features, or front-page placement. Inclusion is at Crafts Cymru’s discretion and may be based on plan tier or promotional activity.

12. Bilingual and Accessible Content

Vendors are encouraged to provide bilingual (Welsh and English) product descriptions. Crafts Cymru may assist with translation where possible but is not responsible for linguistic accuracy. Vendors are also encouraged to ensure product listings are accessible and inclusive.

13. Platform Availability

While Crafts Cymru strives to provide continuous platform access, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not liable for any losses incurred due to downtime, maintenance, or technical errors.

14. Suspension & Termination

Upon termination or suspension of a Vendor account:

15. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute between Crafts Cymru and the Vendor:

  1. We will attempt to resolve the matter through informal internal review.
  2. If unresolved, both parties agree to enter into binding arbitration under UK law before pursuing court action.

16. Data Protection (UK GDPR)

17. Changes to This Agreement

Crafts Cymru may update this Agreement from time to time. Vendors will be notified of material changes via email or dashboard notice. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
